Saucer Sextant: the prequel for 'Saucer Sex Peep Show'
the magical 'church of the octopus' holds the key to another world
This film came about when a distributor start up was hitting me up for any films I had available (at this point I was wrapping up Saucer Sex Peep Show). I made the prequel quickly using mainly myself, puppets, and public domain burlesque footage for the film. The point was to make a film and if the distributor was on the up and up, then go ahead and offer them 'saucer sex peep show'.
I was both the hero 'Bruce Strange' and the comic foil, the slightly horny and daffy 'Hugo', and both characters were working on a strange device from the 'church of the octopus'...a fairy tale, that Bruce Strange is convinced is a real gateway to another world.

Hugo the scientist
There are connections to Saucer Sex Peep Show, Bruce Strange was talking to General Krueger on the phone (a cameo with the actor playing Krueger didn't work at that point), and the newscaster was named after the main actor in saucer sex peep show, Steven Guynn). The church of the Octopus was also a connecting thread to both films, and the idea of a nightmare world was just waiting to infest this world was an idea in both films. Saucer Sextant was a lot of fun to make, and so I'll share it with the world...

What happened to the film?
Long story short, the distributor which had been asked for a film turned out to be a lemon, and after the smoke cleared I walked away with both films still safe(there are legit distributors for indie films out there, but some are fly by night operations who play it loose with the math and are looking for naive filmmakers to swindle films off for their profit only...but that's another story...)
check out the prequel for saucer sex from beyond. It's called 'Saucer Sextant'...available for free and only on this blog...more surreal hijinks and is NSFW (nudity, skulls, and weirdness)
If you are interested...here is the trailer for 'Saucer Sex Peep Show' (available on amazon instant video).
In this episode of Spandex and Monster, we explore the weird surreal films of Chris DeJoseph and his group Friday nite frights. I first discovered these films on you tube, and I was instantly hooked by them. Sexy ladies, monsters, and people wearing rubber masks in carny films that range from horror, comedy, and all places in between with subtle subtext of fetish, science fiction and horror. So without further ado, here is filmmaker Chris DeJoseph of Friday Nite Frights. Tell the world who you are, and what is it you do with your films. Watchmen, and possible parallel universe Few can deny comic book writer Alan Moore, has altered the shape of comic books (much to his chagrin), and now it is common to see a 'superhero' film aimed at adults or tackling adult themes. His work is primarily focused on the comic book medium, and after finding himself in legal hassles over the idea of league of extraordinary of gentlemen where a 'hollywood' producer claimed Moore stole his idea for a film, Moore swore off all things cinema and hollywood (it's not uncommon for him to remove his name from any cinema adaption of his works). Primarily, Moore focuses on his work in the comic book medium. writer and occultist Alan Moore Moore also is into the occult and lists himself as a ceremonial magician and uses these techniques in his writings. Primarily he believes in the concept of 'idea space' whereas the concept of characters and interaction give birth to the writings of the writer, ie, there a
