Missile to the moon

Missile to the moon When you think of the innocent gee whiz 50's sci fi films, few are easily earnest than The Missile to the Moon.  A remake of the schlocky Cat women of the moon, essentially a by the numbers sci fi film that begs a mystery science theater 300 treatment.   With black spiders, sexy cat women, and moon monsters that lumber and betray their cheap costuming.  Worth a look for spandex and monster fans!

UFO's and bigfoots in Kentucky

Image
UFO's and bigfoots in Kentucky UFO and Bigfoot sightings in Kentucky In Kentucky in the Anderson county area, there has been a strange connection of UFO's and bigfoot sightings.  Is there a link between Crytpids and UFO sightings?  I will be doing some research on a possible connection.  If anyone has a story about an encounter with UFO's. weird creatures, or weirdness in general, you can leave it in an anonymous comment (UFO's are still a social stigma).  The strange thing is there is a wide spectrum of strange creatures all around the country. Recently I spotted a UFO over Versailles, Kentucky.  Not sure what I recorded, but it definitely was not a star since it was stationary.  I zoomed in with my camera, and then I realized it was a moving light that quickly alternated colors. Chung ling Soo and the bullet catch trick gone wrong

Magic and danger Chung ling Soo's bullet catch illusion Chung ling Soo and the bullet catch trick gone wrong At the recent Ken Daniels's Fright Night Film Festival weekend in Louisville, I was talking to the charming actress/filmmaker Megan Lynette Hunt and I mentioned at the end of the day we are all magicians. From filmmakers, writers, painters, musicians, and all arts in one shape or another we are magicians.  As a former elementary school magician, the magic was pulling over the reality of something miraculous (restore a cut rope, find a coin out of the air, etc) despite people's skepticism and knowledge there was a 'trick' involved somehow.  If you were a successful magician, you presented an illusion that both shocked and involved the audience. That bending of reality and illusion is a hallmark of fantastic magicians like Chung ling Soo, who at the early 1900's England was packing theaters with his traditional Chinese magic.  It was said, ...
