Mesopotamia - musical weirdness with the B52's Mesopotamia Mesopotamia was the third album from new wave rockers B52s from Athens Georgia. It is also arguably the worst selling album of their career, but for a short record (there was only 6 songs on it) it had the band deliver music past their trademark kitsch to alien musical landscapes. Most of the direction in this avenue probably came from the producer David Byrne (of talking Heads fame).
