Aleister Crowley, grey aliens, and scientologist L. Ron Hubbard

I did an article for UFO digest some time back about the connection with notorious occultist and cultural icon Aleister Crowley. It turns out that the wickedest man alive may have had connections with the creature that may or may not be the 'grey' alien which is now the popular image of aliens. For fans of sexy super powered females, other countries have done their unique contribution to the spandex and monster pantheon.  In the phillipines, the most popular superheroine would be Darna.  Created in 1950 by writer Mars Ravelo and artist Nestor Redondo, Darna is a dead warrior from another planet manifesting herself in an earth girl named Narda.  Darna has had multiple adaptions into film since her debut, and her popularity is expanding past her origins in the Philipines into other parts of Asia, Europe, and the United States.  Given the strength of her following world wide and adaptations of female comic book heroes sadly lacking at the box office...it's only a matter of time before Darna breaks into the stateside popular culture of movies and comic books.
